Super Sunday
Had a really good day today, I went out for a walk with in the country with KD and it was very pleasant. Went to Alfriston a twee little village in Sussex, I can't believe what great weather it was considering it is the middle of October. Alfriston is hilarious it had two shops that both sold coconut ice, a sort of sweet bar that was popular probably in the nineteen forties, and about 5 sleepy Sunday lunch pubs that had all stopped selling Sunday Lunch by 2:30! Amazing that you probably need a million quid to live in those villages and it seems impossible that any of those businesses survive, very quaint though.Had to return to Brighton to get a Sunday lunch in the No Name pub, damn fine beef yum, felt a bit sleepy afterwards. KD was blown out by her friend who she was going to meet in the Hanbury Ballrooms so I went along to watch some bands. They were the kind of thing I generally like quite sort of ponderous old mannish folkie indie stuff, more sleepy and sit down gig affair which to be honest was just about what I was in the mood for. The final band was a tad on the depressing side and although they might have been fine on CD but not really what you want for a rousing finale to and evening. Still left early enough that I got home to watch Match of the Day 2. Marvelous!
